The human story began in the beautiful Garden of Eden, which was to be the vision for this earth. The emphasis on vegetarianism in Genesis seems to be generally understood as having an ecological purpose (Genesis 1:29). Plant-based eating and living in harmony with nature were extensions of faith in God.
The essence of the law is Christlike love, and God promises to give us the very thing He commands.
Something about the folded clothes left in the tomb convinced John of the resurrection.
Wishing peace, love, and renewal to all those celebrating Easter and Passover this year.
Perhaps the suggestion presented in Daniel 1:12 points us beyond fad diets to a meaningful way of eating at the “time of the end”—a dietary choice that manifests the Creator’s intentions for greater health and compassion, an eschatological diet, as it were, that is persuasive to those of other faiths. Perhaps it’s time for a new diet much like Daniel’s.
Could it be that our cravings bury us?
Seeing the universe as God desires it allows me to see the person I am really meant to be.
The question I ask myself is “Am I hearing the voice of Jesus today?”
God is in the business of healing and transforming the world, not merely wiping out past wrongs. May I live every day in ways that allow this wonderful experience to occur in my life.
God wants our hearts and is out to win them. His passionate pursuit and sacred romantic overture are wonderful and mysteriously captivating. He woos us like a bride with His love song and charms us with His beauty.
