If God’s unfailing, relentless love is the central theme of the Bible and the final revelation given to the world, how might God’s unsurpassable love impact my view of His character and my participation in His end-time message?
The Searcher of hearts asks us, “Do you wish to be made well?”
It takes faith to see the deeper meaning behind the tragedies that plague us. We often do not know why plagues fall, and life can be confusing without a voice from heaven to reveal the answers or angels from heaven to assist us. This is why I am intrigued by the seven bowl plagues held by the heavenly angels in the final end.
Christians really have a unique message for the world. We don’t have to let the smiting of the firstborn define God’s character, for He allowed Himself to be hung on a cruel cross and even chose to have this done on Passover day. The cross is the defining moment for God’s love. Jesus transforms how these stories and the scripture are read.
God’s grace is so beautiful to me; it’s like a compassionate father running to welcome his prodigal son home and wrapping him in arms of uncondemning love, where willfulness and shame disappear.
We must not forget that Christianity began as a nonviolent revolution and counterculture movement of other-centered love. The birth of Jesus is the event that changed history; it is a story for everyone.
God’s unimaginable beauty and presence in the person of Jesus is the best gift imaginable—a gift as surprising as it is beautiful. It’s the God we have always wanted and dreamed of. Love, hope, peace, redemption, and wonder—these are only possible because of Him.
I seek a Thanksgiving that even God would want to join, a kind of international feast that commemorates a deep love for all people and mutual blessings among all tribes and nations.
God proved to be Job’s friend, not the villain who took his money, children, and health.
We may not be completely sheltered from pain and suffering, but neither are we completely abandoned. God emerged from the silence to give Job a meaningful answer.
